Spent the day on my favorite smallmouth creek. Did some camping and firecraft plus did some hanging around in my hammock...that was nice I learn a lot from your videos and this one was really great. Your simple construction of the seine net was inspiring. I use a wire net minnow trap to catch mine and bait it with fish feeding flakes or pieces of bread with good results. But now thanks to you I can make a simple one. Thanks for posting.

Nice demo on the fuzz sticks and splitting tinder. Thanks for posting. All in all you seem to have had a great time. I hope you entered the two vids in the contest.

But now thanks to you I can make a simple one. Thanks for posting. Minnow traps work great and do most of the work for you. One thing I don't like about minnow traps, they catch whatever comes along. So if I'm looking for shiners to use for bait i may get everything except shiners in the minnow trap. But if i'm using the minnow trap to get food for myself it's a great way to do that. In my location minnow traps catch mostly chubs, chubs are not the best bait for bass both small and largemouth. I'm not knocking the minnow trap, it's just if your looking for a certain bait a minnow seine works better. Tip... if you ever need a fish trap and don't have one. Take some chicken wire and roll it into a lose ball. Put whatever you have for bait in the middle and tie a rope to it.Fish that try to get at the bait will catch there fins on the chicken wire and be trapped.

I laughed at the chicken wire trap, you're just full of great do it yourself tips for fishing. I noticed my post had a word left out. It should've read I use aquarium fish flakes or bread as bait in my minnow trap. Of course any snack food would be a hit as they are like crabs and not very picky at the morsels they find to eat. I won't use minnow cats but everything else is fair game including crabs if they're all the right size. Any leftovers get put back into the water.
