For those who buy soft drinks by the 12 packs, here's a way to recycle those cartons and it will help in keeping those canned goods better organized plus provide you more space. Once the carton is empty just refill it with like canned goods.
The size of the drink cans are 12 oz. and laying on their sides in the carton. Of course that doesn't limit the size to place in them even if the cans are much larger. Play around with different sizes, stack them standing up from top to bottom or depending on the size you may be able to lay some down on their sides and still have room to make a stack along side them. How many times have you restacked small cans of Vienna sausage and Spam, this is your answer to not have to do this over and over again.
Once you've filled a carton, close it and tape it shut. Place a label on the outside with the item name and it's expiration date. The other good advantage to using the cartons is they can be easily stacked to clear space for other larger, more bulkier items.

Good idea. Very easy to handle as opposed to a larger box.

Can't tape the carton shut if you've already torn off the flap to get at the Coke Rewards code inside. But if you don't tape it shut, you'll be able to see inside and know at a glance just what's stored in there. And if you store cans on their sides in the box, you can pick one out and the rest will roll into place for the next time you need one.
