I have a co-worker who has a 21c(stamped on the slide). The c stands for compensated which has a ported slide and barrel. It was for law enforcement and kept the muzzle flip down so they could acquire targets faster. EVERY one I've seen online has these ports, his does not. It is clearly marked 21c, so what's up with his?

Someone changed the slide/barrel or else his 'c' stands for confused as to what model it really is.. it can't help it.. It is a politically correct world and just because it's different doesn't mean it won't shoot as well as those others.. without the porting it just means you have to grip it a little tighter.. squeeze it you know..
Ok.. that was tongue in cheek except maybe the slide/barrel was changed.. and for the record I am NOT an expert on Glocks (yea I know I gave an answer but just cause you're born in a barn doesn't make you a horse).

Well that's what I thought too, but the slide is stamped 21C. I haven't ever seen a slide stamped that way that wasn't ported. The gun shoots just fine, just wondering why his is different?

is the barrel ported? Factory misprint maybe? Or some one stamped the C them selves. dunno, sounds odd, might be worth a call into Glock

Something isn't right. All of those slides are supposed be compensated.

Well, I feel like an idiot! I had him send me pics and it clearly says 21. I've looked at the gun THREE times and even looked it up and told him it was supposed to have the ports. He told me what the C meant then I looked it up. I would have bet my next 10 paychecks it had a c on it. The friend he bought it from said it was a compensated, but also told him he HAD to shoot GAP in it. Looked at it and it clearly says 45 auto. I feel so dumb

Well there you go, problem solved!
Don't feel dumb, we all do it, heck I do it all the time. The main thing is you got your answer. As far as it shooting ONLY GAP I dunno bout that. Try some different ammo in it. My rule of thumb is, if it cant eat every thing I feed it, than I don't want it. Granted some ammo will shoot tighter groups than others but it should all function reliably.
Either way, glad you got it sorted.

I think the guy lied to him. It's a 45 auto not a GAP. GAP is marked on the side if it was. Saved this guy $6 a box of ammo. And he can get 45 acp just about anywhere. It still just chaps my rear. I looked at that gun 3 times and still swore I seen 21c.
