In a SHTF scenario you run out of gun solvent for cleaning your weapon,gun owners know the importance of a clean firearm what will you use? I have used K-1 kerosene (the clear type) and it works good also it will leave a little protection due to oil base.
Like most I like multiple uses of products, I have been stocking up on kerosene as heating source,light source,gun solvent,fire starter and barter item currently in my area bulk price per gallon is $4.79 if you buy pre packaged is runs around $12.00 per gallon. I'm opting to fill individual gallons mainly so i can store in multiple places and also use for trade/barter, I'm also keeping pop bottles I can pour into to trade/barter for smaller items.
If Potus gets his way and we end up in Syria kerosene like many items will skyrocket so stock up now, could prove as valuable as ammo as a commodity. Everyone wants heat and light.
