I know many of you have Murrays 100% Austrailien Bees wax sitting on the shelf. Anyway i was using some on a cotton ball to start a fire in the fire place, decided I would fill my chapstick tube up with it it was nearly empty. Couple minutes later it was filled and I tried it out works great. We all know chapstick works as a accelerate for lightin fires but the beeswax really outlast it.
Heres where it gets better, a couple years ago I replaced my Zippo wick with cotton balls (easier to catch spark when removed from lighter) work as well as original yet if my lighter runs out I will have some residual left in the cotton ball wicks and hopefully the striker will ignite. Well now I can remove the wick add some bees wax from my chapstick and make it even better. Of course what if my striker can't create enough spark for whatever reason (yes I have backup flints in my lighter)a while back I cut down a 1/8" firesteel to also fit in with the wick of my lighter. So now in a pinch I feel I have a great back up plan combined between the chapstick and Zippo. With the ranger band I have on my Zippo I don't have to fill it for weeks.

Any lighter is subject to failure. Having PJ balls or equivalent handy with anything that can produce enough spark for them is a +.
