CL that's such great news that you've beaten smoking. You have demonstrated some great willpower and I know you must be very happy with your accomplishment.. Good Job!

CL you know how I feel about it and how proud I am of you.
Be careful with the "e-ciggs" if you fool with them. More will come out shortly about them I feel pretty certain about...they are nothing more than a crutch. If you quit smoking, you quit smoking, as you have done. Anything else is not quitting. Period.

Besides that, to each their own. I am so proud of myself for having kicked the habit. All smokers at one time or another mention they need to quit but seldom do. Again, I saw my chance to get over the chemical dependency while in the hospital and the rest is divine intervention through my faith in God the almighty and the promise I made to him not to smoke again. Add On: My new friend is an Atomic Fire Ball when I do get smoking urges, usually one or two a day and multiple bottles of lemon flavored water a day.

Not everyone that uses the cartomizer/claromizer versions smoked to begin with. That is an erroneous assumption, there are hundreds of thousands out there that put zero nicotine in the fluid, including myself. It is equally in error to assume it a crutch, some people yes, some people no.
For people I have known that quit smoking using it, they discontinued it as well. I won't knock/ridicule anyone for any method of quitting smoking, the important part is to stop sucking 7000 chemical compounds including tar, carbon monoxide, benzene, ammonia etc into their lungs every time they light up.

If it takes a basket full of atomic fire balls and gallons of lemon flavored water to stay of the cigs, so be it.

With reference to the caffeine kick, I have some of those 5 hour or 7 hour drinks in my kits. However, don't take the fact I have them as an endorsement, I have never actually drank any of them. It would put my heart in a hell of a horse race. But I thought they might be a benefit when you have given all you can and still need a little more.
Does anyone have any experience with them if used that way?
If admin wants to make this a separate post so as not to hi-jack this one its OK by me.

Thanks for your support cwi and everybody else for that matter. While I was bedridden after my hospitalization I wasn't drinking enough water so I decided to change up the taste by using some "True Lemon" packets a dear forum friend had sent me. That set off an unbelievably pleasant taste which helped tremendously with my cig urges. I just recently looked online to order more and now have enough to hold me up till probably the end of the year. LoL! I'm about halfway through a large container of Atomic Fireballs which kinda appears basket sized so to speak, it held 240 fireballs. Next month I'll be replenishing those. Those two items are now new must haves in my prep items.

Making such a heartless statement as that shows where it came from. If you had a clue, you would never have made such a groundless statement. Jimmy

I agree with you here about knocking/ridiculing anyone for any method they use to quit smoking. On the flip side I will not preach to anyone because they do smoke because I've walked in their shoes and know it isn't easy to quit.

Exactly what part of what you quoted me as saying is heartless? Or for that matter, what part is groundless?

Jimmy Jimmy, I don't think CWI was being heartless or clueless. I agree that you likely know more about this than most on here after all you've been through. You've had a rough way to go and lived to tell about it. I think you're being overly sensitive on this because it hit close to home. What CWI is saying is that the end result of not smoking is more important than how someone gets there. Everyone is wired differently and quitting cold turkey just doesn't work for all. Some feel they need a crutch or substitute to get through it and if it works then great.
