After her basic pistol course and advanced tactical pistol I couldn't get her back on the range. Well, she asked to take the 9 year old grand daughter for her first trip to the range. After a couple days of safety training and handling and familiarization with the various weapons we went to the Panther Top Range today.
We took Glocks in .40, a Ruger 9, the Blackhawk in .357, a Ruger Mk III. and my little American Heritage .22 single action.
She ran a few rounds through her G23 and was spot on but it made her wrist a bit sore. She grabbed the Mk III and put a mag through it. Reached for another mag. After about 5 mags through it she put it down and said, "Now THAT's a pistol!!!" (Agreed!)
She picked up the little American Heritage .22. Shot off six rounds. Laid it down and said, "That's a piece of crap!" Hee! Hee!
I handed her the Blackhawk loaded with some .38 wadcutters. She emptied the cylinder, turned around and uttered "OMG!!!!!! Now THAT'S a gun!" She just had to run some more ammo through it!
Danged, on the way home, we was stopped and robbed of all them guns. Ain't got a single one left!
