When I watched the video in the O.P. it kind of reminded me a bit of the "new," but still unavailable, Remington R51. It seems to be similar size with similar rounded edges and appearance. Can the LC9S handle 9mm +P?

YEP!
I (well in this case wife) will practice with 9mm FMJ 115 GR and carry 147-grain FTX +P's.
I don't think we will have any problem that way.

People love to hate the Hi-Point, I hated them for years, wouldn't have been caught dead around one. Then my oldest Daughter's sperm donor bought her one because he is a cheap SOB in every sense of the word. So I took her and that ugly piece of s$it, the pistol not him, to show her why it was not worth having and .............................. I got a big surprise. Not only did it not break or overheat or fall apart or blow up or any of the other things I expected, it shot and shot and kept on shooting and it hit's hits were very acceptable at a variety of acceptable distances. So I got my other Daughter one to replace the loaner 38 she was carrying around. (They live in the same town and swap out baby sitting duties so the both should have the same weapon so they are familiar with it and can swap out mags and ammo too. So not too long after that when I was putting a $550.00 handgun in a "getaway" cache and thinking how mad I was going to be if someone found it and I lost the gun it hit me. Hi-Point 9mm $121.00 (the 140 was with fitted holster) www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/7-G00916Its 9mm, it worked well, its cheap, if someone steals it its ugly. Will it work to get me to a cache with something better in it, will it give me a better option then rocks to acquire a better option? Do I still have some cache guns that I would cry if I lost, you bet, but not in a cache I am worried about. I just couldn't find a down side. So now all of my "they might get found but I really want/need one here CACHE'S" contain a Hi-Point as a cache gun. $121.00/9mm/better then rocks. WORKS FOR ME

I was in a gun store in Marshall TX visiting with the owner and an old veteran was complaining that someone gave him a Hi Point 9mm for Christmas. He really wanted a different gun, one in the case. I noticed the price on it and I told him I'd buy his 9mm and he'd have the money to buy the gun he wanted IF it would be okay with the owner of the gun store. The owner didn't have a problem.. so I bought it. UGLY.. that's an understatement but like Z Man says.. goes bang every single time and if I ever run out of ammo I can either beat someone with it or use it for a boat anchor. Yep it's that heavy. (So there Okie.. I've publicly admitted that I own a Hi Point)
