Gannets when in their "teenage" age, have shitty nightvision so the hunt/gathering has to be at night, the first couple of minutes are pretty dark with only the light from headlamp.

Yep the first few minutes were a challenge to watch Towards the end of the twilight zone I could make out the killings, interesting technique I might add. Since so many were on the hunt I'm assuming this is done at certain times of the year. Was that you on the end of the long rope? Thanks for posting, I enjoy watching your vids.

No I wasn't with them here, but I've tried similar trips. It's done one day/night each year, the entire village (and some out of towners) gather and hike out to the cliffs (the only place in the country gannets are) the catch is usually around 400 or so. At the end of the vid you see the birds being tossed into the sea, there's a boat picking them up. Afterwards the shares get divided equally between everyon at the harbor.

I noticed they were tossing the gannets down but thought it was someone on land at a much lower level instead of the sea. Kewl!
