Someone earlier had posted about these. I bought a 3 D cell light at HD today. Seems like a great light. Bright and easily illuminates at 100 yards. Hi beam Lo beam and strobe I like it. $30 Little heavy (I almost bought the 4D cell one. Looks like a club). This one has pretty good heft to it and has1000 lumens. It lights up the woods. I've got a few of the 3D and 3C Defiant lights. For the money they are a great value.
Here's a review I did a while back on the C cell version.

Yesterday I was at Home Depot and they have the Defiant flashlights on sale right now. I picked up the 3D cell (1000 lumen) for $22, the 3C cell (700 lumen) for $16.00, and for some dumb reason I grabbed a cheapo combo (3AAA cell flashlight and 3AAA cell headlight) for $4.95. After military discount (10%) was $38 and change.
The stupid headlight wouldn't close after I opened it and put batteries in it.
Save your money on that piece of junk. The others are great lights!.

Whats the battery life on a 1000 lumen light? Not sure but didn't put the factory batteries in mine. Put Copper Tops in mine...over a year ago...no use on 2 of them much at all. One has a medium amount of use. The one in my car has been used a good bit and still going strong... I will tell you that these are good defensive lights...brightness can stun someone and then they are heavy enough....well...  Jimmy |
