that is huge, the loss of site picture while adjusting zoom has been a bugbear of shooters of all stripes, i know it will cost a fortune but if i still had guns i would love to sight through one of them

It won't be long and there will be the 'civilian' version. Heck I'd almost buy a .22 rifle to go with my RG for a scope like that. Seriously I'm gonna get me a real rifle one of these days and I'll want that scope.

The description of the mechanics make me think this might not hold up well in "military" situations. A lot more moving parts to cause a problem then with the old scopes.
Also, 90% of the military don't use a scope and those that do don't really need "rapid" focus ability.

Electric motor, multiple moving parts...batteries. interesting design though. I suppose time will tell if it can survive the rigors of combat.
