I have one and looking forward on testing it out. I found out that somebody had done a review on the emergency radio on youtube. Check out his review and stick around for the ending....I couldnt stop laughing. Also, what emergency radios do you have and how have they worked out for you or recommendations.

Not this radio, but I got some etons on sale at bass pro, and they would not pick up squat, and I just live a couple miles from the station? FWIW

Orly, you're right - I was laughing too! They couldn't've been that good; the tempo only increased a little.

I have the FR160 and it works ok but there certainly are better ones out there. The one I have is not the red Red Cross one but it is blue and I bought it from LLBean. I am really surprised because ETON makes very good radios, at least the Grundig line. I have an Eton FR800 Weather Tracker that is great, and also 3 Grundigs (1 S350DL and 2 S450DLXs) that are super radios, including shortwave.
The other emergency radio I have and am really impressed by is the Midland Base Camp XT511. Google it and see all the options. Very good radio. woodscustom did an excellent review on it back in May 2012.

No Orly right now I am radio deprived. Looking for some hi quality something? Like to get a base and two portables.
