Uhhh, damn. never have I almost thrown a gun behind my head. This little guy couldn't have been a pound. Old guy at the outdoor range said " want to give it a try? "
Of course I did, and wow, the whole gun wasnt much bigger than the cartridge and that's no lie. There is a first and a last for everything.
this was an old one. I forget the year he said. Pretty sure he said it was from Germany for the herders. Cool piece of history to hold.

One of my neighbors came by the other day with a 4 Barrel 357 derringer (I don't remember the make)
Cock the hammer and fire
A selector to fire one round at a time or all four at one time
I don't want to be on either end of that thing.

Those are sweet. The problem I have is big hands/little gun. The COP In .22 mag would be okay. I wouldn't like that much power/recoil in that small of a gun in .357 or larger. I can see where it would have its uses though But a Smith or Ruger .380 would probably be as small as I would want to go

High Standard used to make a pair of sweet little derringers, one long rifle, one 22 mag. It appears they have increased in value. Gunbroker has them for $400-500 I'd rather have the Smith or Ruger .380

I totally agree with you of those two I would say the Ruger, but in the 9mm, its not that much bigger and all of the reviews have been good + a neighbor has both and I have shot both and they are excellent imho. www.ruger.com/products/lc9s/models.htmlYou should be able to get it for $400 easy

Between the derringer and G42, Its a no brainer . . . G42. I really like mine. I've had the Rugers (LCP and LC9s and Kel-tec .380. Still have the LC9s but carry the G42 most of the time. Glocks coming out the a 9mm in March the size of the G42. Gotta have it.

I agree miss, it would never be the only thing I carry
But the fact it doesn't kick out any brass and is smooth bore plays into why I got it in the first place, just sayin'
I got mine for $65 the sure have gone up.

Smooth bore is a huge plus. Now you have made me rethink. Maybe I could trade my RG. Nahhhh I couldn't bear to part with it.
