ALl right the big NE storm has come and gone, SHTF is over so let's here some lessons learned.
Water
fire/Power/heat
shelter
Food
saftey
first-aid and sanitation
navigation and communicate
kit use
barter
any lessons learned
GOD gives us small practice rounds so we can learn about our needs during the big one

I hope it does more than cover the ice left from last time. All we had were sloppy slick streets.

We had no lessons to learn, just another typical winter snowfall of around 6" or so. Nothing out of the ordinary up here, though CGU and those south and southeast got it much worse. They are calling for another several inches up here tomorrow and Monday but we will see. The thaw we had a while back caused me more problems than the "blizzard". My entire back yard, side yards, and barn floor (just put in new this past year) have a minimum of 1 foot solid ice now covered with a few inches of snow. Gonna be a real mess come spring thaw and we haven't flooded in three years. This year looks to be another 5 pumps in cellar, 1-2 in barn and 2 in side/back yard. This is not looking good for my trip back to Fl in March since that is the start of spring thaw time. I am getting too old for this aggravation!  Jim |

Not to rub it in or anything, but the part of Wyoming I live in was having daytime temperatures up above 70 degrees while back east was getting all that snow and cold. If it makes you feel a little better, they are forecasting maybe a half inch of snow tonight and a high of only 25 tomorrow. I am sure we will get our bad weather yet this winter, but it has not been that bad here yet.

Really did not need to use anything "BUT" we will be doing an assessment of some of our prestaged items. Along with a re think on our C & C positions
