So I've been corresponding with crashdive123 about making me a custom knife. With me looking to reenlist ASAP I figured it would make a nice gift, per se, for when I do. If for whatever reason I can't reenlist (my window of opportunity is narrow because many other Marine veterans are trying to get back in as well) then it's a heck of a treat for myself.

Basically it's going to be similar to a Kabar, but with crash's touch. I already sent him material for both the handle as well as the sheath. For the handle I sent him one complete set each of my woodland and desert MARPAT (that's MARinePATtern) uniforms. I know and understand with how he makes the handle that the camouflage pattern won't really be there. However, it would still be very sentimental because both uniform sets traveled with me from Okinawa to 29 Palms. For the sheath I supplied one of my small emblems.

I've asked for a blade length somewhat smaller than that of a full-sized Kabar, and the handle to have plenty of space on it in case I wear thick gloves when using it. The sheath will be a crossdraw with the emblem in the center and his barbed-wire pattern above/below it.

Crash has my full permission to show off the work on here and Youtube before it gets to me. I know it's going to come out really good!

Right now it has to be either band or spec ops because that's all that's available right now for prior service with my MOS. I'm cool with hitting up the band again because apparently they're looking for what instrument I play (French horn) so if I score high enough I can ask to go pretty much wherever I want.

Not offensive at all, actually.

Closest thing was a community youth orchestra.

Made some progress today.

Question regarding the sheath C-Man. Do you want a horizontal carry (with vertical carry option) or a cross draw? If cross draw, which side do you want to carry on? For the horizontal/vertical combo I'm envisioning it could be worn on either side.
