So far this year we have took out 15 hogs. Ranging is size from 20 lbs to around 140 lbs. I killed 4 of those this morning with my trusty .22 Buck Mark. I did not keep track last year but I plan to try and do so this year.
We have not fed any to the buzzards as yet, But at the rate we are going I have a feeling we will soon as it begins to warm up.

Took out another 3 boars last night brings the total to 18 hogs this year... been slow with all the rain! They weighed in around 100-125 lbs each.

Add another 7 to bring the total up to 25 for the year so far! 6 of these would easily average 60lbs each but #7 was a good size boar pushing 200lbs...

Sorry no camera was handy ... I was not planning to kill hogs it just kinda happened. I was riding the back pastures with my neighbor and there they was... 10 shots later = 7 dead hogs. I hit one 3 times (tough little bugger) and flat missed one shot altogether and at least 10 more went off into the woods... They should never gang up in a wallow ... They was having a heck of a time getting out of it. Almost as easy as shooting fish in a barrel... lol

I would have guessed you as a 7.62x39 guy, but now I'm thinking 5.56/.223 for hogs - and 7mm 08 or mag for deer.

I keep it simple...every shot was around 20yds and probably closer to 30yds at max and it was a plain "old" 22 mag pump Rossi... This is my favorite throw in the truck and kill ANYTHING gun... Quite accurate even with the stock iron sights.

Found the first hog track at "The Retreat" yesterday. We have lots of them south of us but never any on the property. While it does offer easy killing capabilities I don't want to get them started there.
It is water on three sides so only one way in and it is fenced so there must be a fence line problem. I suspect on of the creeks overflowed during our several July downpours and washed out a gap fence.
Didn't have anytime to run it down yesterday but I will soon. Just saw the one set of tracks on the road.
