One of the things I've done for the test above, is to interview a number of veterans (most worked for me at my former lab). Those reports your speaking of are the first I've heard. I'd be interested if you could ask your son some details of those mags, where the crack was, how long, an idea of what it took before development, general appearance of the mag, function problems etc? Cracking reports came from Sons unit in Iraq from some of the teams. No idea on clones. I have never experienced a problem with my mags. Then again I am not as abusive on equipment as those guys. webbdad Spoke with son and he said that on the Tan and Green mags the feed lips would get brittle after a period of time. He also stated that Magpul was 'covertly' addressing the polymer formulation issue. webbdad
