I think a collection of guns becomes "excessive" entirely depending on your income. If you're having trouble putting food on the table, then anything more than one rifle and one shotgun is excessive. In fact, I know people who don't even have that, and just borrow a gun when they need it. They get by just fine, and others are happy to help them out.
On the other end of the spectrum I've got a friend who is a lawyer and he's probably got hundreds of guns, but he makes $200-$300 an hour, so why not? He can buy guns like I can buy sandwiches, and he does, and I just think that is the bees knees!

I mean, after all, we do " cling to our guns and religion " , don't we ? I know I do. ;D

I keep finding my self one or two short of enough.....I can't even imagine what excessive might be? Girl too pretty, car too fast, too much fun.....I what we strive for.

I sure wish I could go back to the fifties and do this all over again. I would not have traded or sold a thing, and for sure bought alot more unusual stuff.

All jokes aside, I still have the Glock 17 I had to list on my gun trust. It's on file at the BATFE... It's also sittin' here on the couch next to me as I type this. As far as all my other firearms, I be damned if I can remember where a single one of 'em are.

American media would mess their pants in Switzerland just on the factor that almost every adult male has not just a firearm, but a military-issue firearm plus ammo!
On that note I must say that firing the Sturmgewehr 57 (SIG 510) was definitely an awesome time. I'm really ticked that they're not allowed in CT (then again anything good gun-wise isn't allowed here).

I shot my truck floor board with a Walther PK 380...I scared me very badly. I have since sold all of my firearms....long guns and side arms. I read in the paper the other day where the fella who bought them all has passed away.
