brownells is also taking backorders on lowers. a good friend at work just ordered two and to rifle kits from another vendor. They will be lucky to get the lowers. From what I understand from some folks that work there, they are back ordered in the five digits and climbing. I look for them to cease back orders any day now. They are also going to have a problem with delivery of those already back ordered and brownells as well as every other major distributor will be subject to their suppliers honoring their orders, or not. It's my opinion that many of the manufacturers will gouge their prices if they believe they will be out of business soon. There are already several making noise along those lines. Brownells has always treated me right, but there are market forces coming into play that are beyond their control. Again a reminder about shotguns and food. I am starting to see dwindling supplies of shotguns and defense ammo for them. Aftermarket tube extenders, folding or collapsing stocks, etc all are starting to show signs of market stress. That window of opportunity will likely close in the near future. It's to early to determine with certainty if food will be an issue but my gut feeling is there will be a market rush before june. Food for thought (no pun intended)

BTW: I got the idea of back ordering (when the world ran dry) from Brownells from something you said in a previous post. Thank you Your welcomed. You could double and in some markets triple your money on those now. Nope - I want them for myself, and I got some extras for neighbors who only have one or two mags now. If I were looking for profiteering, I would sell one of two the M&P 15 Sport's that I bought just a month ago for $668.00 brand new. I've never been a fan of the 5.56/.223 round, but I'm learning to understand it's strengths and weaknesses. Still kicking myself for not buying at least one AR10 or FAL or even a Saiga in .308/7.62x51

DH went to a couple of local stores yesterday. One guy has been cleaned out of nearly everything not just rifles. He does not know when he will get any type of inventory and if he can't get inventory may have to close up. Both stores were limiting the amount of ammo they would let you buy.

Went to Walmart and Academy and the ammo shelves were almost empty, even shotgun shells. there was some 20 gauge, but I have a 12.

I would submit to you all that if you were interested in body armor, now might be the time. Wouldn't be suprised if that makes the Fienstien list too. Just sayin'.

Cwi is likely correct on backorders. They will only take what they think can be realisic.

CDNN sent out emails saying they had a few things in. I bought 40 round thermold AK mags. And 25 round steel lip butler creek 10/22 mags. Still at regular price. A few other assorted were available.

I just back ordered 10 of Brownell's mags as well. Couldn't beat the price, 10 for $109 with free shipping. I really don't need that many, but I'd rather have too many than too few. Now I just hope they don't full the single mag orders first (since the are $14 per). I bet they will do first come first serve so I'll see if I have any luck!

As many of you know I sometimes think of things in a strange way.. so when CGU wrote 'to get the help they so desperately need and deserve' on Bjarki's thread it occured to me that anti gun people should stop for a moment and reflect.. while what these crazy little %*#(#) do is terrible it must be pointed out that the gun they're trying to ban typically becomes the very firearm that takes out the shooter.. cause they end up killing themselves with it. Proof once again that an 'assault rifle' is indeed the weapon of choice against shooters. Read more: survivalbunker.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=faith&action=display&thread=3613&page=2#ixzz2GjRRUUHJ

The craziness is getting worse every day. Had my hands on a S&W M&P used at Cabelas for 800 bucks before the tragedy and decided I didn't need another AR15. Big mistake I know.
I just paid 400 bucks on gunbroker for a new Ruger 10/22 take down stainless. It's an ugly blue color. all the black ones are selling for over 500. Didn't matter to me because I'm gong to fit a wood stock to it anyway.
My advise to everyone buy any high cap mag ya can get.
If ya want an AR and can't afford it, at least buy the lower now.

Good find. I just went to there web page and they have suspended all online orders. Only taking phone orders.

All of the 18.5 in shotgun barrels are evaporating as well. You can get them but, the $89 ones from CTD are all gone bye bye. I managed to get a Rem model for 122.00 after shipping. Not bad but it took all day to look on line.

Got lucky the other day, my buddy has a good ammo hook up and he has a bunch of .223 comming in and he is setting aside 2k for me. He also scored me a Glock 22 and 6 mags that Im trading my Baretta 92 to him for. Its about a break even deal on the gun but, Ive been wanting another Glock for awhile now. As far as the ammo, its a nice little break...
