Nice catch there!
I'm hooking up one of my buds with the Brownells business discount on a few things for his AR. It's nice being able to get someone stuff for a lower price despite the market craziness.

Something is going to come out of it, that much we can be sure of. One thing that cannot be avoided are the actions the potus will take on his own. There is room to argue what would or could pass the congress, but there is no room to argue what the potus will do. I hear a lot of people grousing about 'constitutionality of EO's, but many of those same people have forgotten in a short period of time what Clinton did with them. How many here remember what happened with the street sweeper-striker12 during Clintons time? How about steel core ammo from China? SKS's, MAK's, etc? Foreign surplus ammo? Remember the EO from April 6, 1998? Let me refresh your memory if you don't. www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/law/jan-june98/guns_4-6.html How about the EO that banned multiple foreign made pistols in 2001? For that matter, what has obama already done to the 770,160 M1 Carbines and 87,310 M1 Garand rifles that were to be brought back to the states from S. Korea? Truthfully, I am not so much worried about what would make it past congress in the next two years as I am about what kind of EO's are forthcoming. This president has already shown himself to be worse than Clinton when it comes to EO's. It's coming, and I strongly suggest focusing on foreign made products you may need. the precedence has already been well established in that regards.

Between the gun chrunch in 2008 and now in late 2012/early 2013 (Fast and Furious not wisthstanding) I would summize Obamma has been responsible for putting more guns off the shelves and on the streets than any president ever. Ironic aint it?

Just as a side note, wonder if they will ban the Henry Rifle, it was afterall a 'military' weapon with 'high capacity' and can be shot in rapid succession.

The latest gun poll shows ammo stocks are down 90 % from Jan 1. That's just nuts. But I think I will get some additional reloading supplies tomorrow. Sure am glad I have that capability for my most frequent ammo needs, which you all know to be an old single shot 12 ga and a .22 rifle my grandfather gave me years ago. legalinsurrection.com/2012/12/nation-running-out-of-ammo/New site too.

At Wal-Mart...whoda thunk it??? I took Trace to Karate practice last night and needed to get some Nyquil as to keep the coughing to a minimum tonight so the wife does not blow another gasket like she did last night before she went to the other room...anyway.... I got my Nyquil and decided I would take a chance on there being a box of .22LR at the sporting goods counter...nope I was wrong...but what did I find??? Tucked away in the VERY right corner of the top shelf behind a sticker/label on the glass were 10 boxes of Tula 7.62X39!!! I could not believe it. I got a an associate to get them for me and then found three boxes of Remington 12ga 3/0 buck shot. The Tula was only.........$4.97 EACH and the buck shot was only $3.97 EACH!!!! I had been looking at internet sites for Tula and all have been sold out for the past three weeks or so...or I could find it but they were anywhere from $8.00 - $12.00 per box and I was not paying that. Never thought I would find that ammo in stock for that price...much less at Wal-Mart....whoda thunk it!!!

Well I struck out yesterday at finding ammo but gave it another go today.
Went to academy sports and found two boxes of 350 CCI 22LR and one box of 350 CCI 22 mags. they had one more box of the 22LR but had a 2 box limit on them.
I then went to Cabela's and was surprised to see the shelves full of 223s and 5.56 with a 10 box limit. They were out of 22LR. Reloading supplies weren't bad.

I cleaned out the local Dick's sporting goods store of their last Hornady 223 Remington 20-rd box a couple weeks ago. They haven't restocked since, but some 22LR ammo did come through, and they have a limit as to how much of certain ammo one can buy. 22LR, 223 Remington, and some other calibers are limited to six boxes per customer purchase.
If one owns a 30-06 rifle then our Dick's is the place to be. 30-06 and 7mm were the two rifle calibers of ammo that they had plenty of. The 12 gauge was pretty well stocked as well.

Providence smiled on me today . Got 3 more boxes of slugs at Wally for $3.27 per box of 5. Picked up 4 boxes of Hornady "Zombie" 00 at $4.59 per box of ten at Academy. It was supposed to be $12/box but, they had it marked wrong at the shelf and I got the break. The cashier was irritated but, I thanked her anyway.
