CWI I can't even imagine how high the bid would go if the whole gun was up for bid.

Yup...I've been trying to buy a Marlin 1894CSS (the Trapper, in .357/.38 Special; stainless steel). I turned down buying one a few months ago because the price had gone up to over $600.00.
Today I looked on line (impactguns, gunbroker, etc.) and I could only find one source that did not say "Out of Stock;" and the price was over $1,400.00!!!

On a local site I visit, every AR on that page is over $1,300, most are over $2000 now. Just a week ago these were in the $600 to $1000 range.
And there are several listings for P-mags, one guy is listing 5 for $525, and another has 4 listed for $275. That's almost $69 a magazine...

Tons of p-mags on ebay for 75 a pop. I almost bought some (metal mags) a couple weeks ago too and didn't. My thought process was, ahh Christmas is coming, it can wait.
