With summer coming and me not wearing a coat my Glock is to large to conceal. So I'm looking at purchasing a Ruger LCP, I'm aware its not a long range pistol and has limitations but for a EDC looks good. I asked the gun shop if they had any problems, they said initiialy there was but have bee corrected and they sell alot of them. Anyone out there currently carry one? Feedback?

I believe this is the one with a long hard trigger pull and no safety. The safety is the trigger pull. FWIW

I used to carry one..........BUT NO LONGER. This is why....
I was deer hunting and shot a doe, hit her kinda high so I had to put a finishing shot on her. Went up to 5 yards and shot her in the neck. Nothing....The neck again..... Nothing.....Then a point blank tween the eyes thing.
I now carry a LC9. The 380 just doesn't pack the punch. ALTHOUGH it's better than throwing rocks and using harsh language.

Yeah but most bad guys aren't as tough as a doe... and I've heard throwing rocks and using harsh language is the reason one should carry a gun..

WC I've had a .380 before and used hollow points and seen the damage it can cause, I know my .40 would be a better choice but much harder to conceal.

I just got one with the crimson trace. Haven't tried it out yet but the size works for me.

I am looking at either an SR9C or an XD45C as an alternate carry to my 1911 simply because the dang thing gets heavy.

I carried the keltec 380 since they came out, then the ruger came out and several family members got them and I had a chance to shoot them and really liked them better than the keltec due to no spring binding and a better trigger. I wanted to upgrade but was not just warm and cuddley over the 380 cal. I bought a LC9 and have really been happy with the higher capacity and 9mm round. I do plan to buy a LCP before bikini season.

personally, if you're looking at a semi auto to carry I have great experience with two that I highly recommend. The keltec pf9 in 9mm: light as heck, 7+1 in 9mm, depending on the pants easily carried in pocket, long trigger pull but no other safeties, and the price can't be beat. If you're looking at a 45acp...I have to say I have shot the Springer XDs. 5+1, trigger and grip safety...great little pistol...but just about as much as XD45c...so its a matter of concealability vs capacity. Both worked great.

I carry the Keltec 380 and love it provided its loaded with the right ammo. I only load it with Hornady Critical defense / Zombie Ma. Ammo. Done my Own ballistic testing and is far superior to 9mm fmj and with practice accurate to over 25 ft

Thanks for all the feedback. I was at the range today and asked the rangemaster if he knew of anything related to the LCP he said hes sees alot of them on the range, no problems came to mind and said folks seemed to like the pistol

I tried the Keltec but it didn't feel right in my hand. The Ruger is comfortable. I'll try it out next week. Heck! Go ahead and post the bikini pics. I'll wave dollar bills. If you've been on a certain other site and know what a hong is then nothing can top that.
