Sunday Nat Geo is airing a program titled "American Blackout" at 9:00 Central Time. It is a hypothetical story of a national power failure in the United States caused by a cyber attack, told in real time, over 10 days. Should prove to be an interesting watch as to people's reactions on several levels. Those caught off guard with no backup lighting, criminals on the prowl, if Martial Law will go into effect and much more. I'm looking forward to it, I will miss my other 2 favorite programs "Alaska-The last frontier" "Yukon Men" but I'll seee the reruns next week.
Blackout, a real one would even a short term one 7-14 days would wake alot of people up and realign priorities.

As to waking a lot of people up and them realigning their priorities, that would be wonderful. However I feel those who will watch the program are the ones who are already on top of things as for as prepping goes and those who have no idea of worldly events will be the ones the program will focus on who we need to protect ourselves from. I will venture to say people in areas on guard for hurricanes would have the lighting situation covered, maybe even a generator to run for a week or so. As to extra food, batteries, water and sanitation, only those of us prepping for other situations will have those bases covered. New Jersey, Vermont and New Orleans residents learned a valuable lesson the hard way but even those people probably became complacent after all was over. Sure, if another storm threat heads their way they'll more than likely evacuate but as to stocking supplies for other events, I seriously doubt it. |

Now you know you're wrong for that. You can't go to a Saints game and leave me home especially when you're sitting almost on the sideline benches.  Enjoy yourself to the max my friend and I'll be searching the crowd for you. Tell all women folk to leave their purses home or bring one that can almost fit in their pocket. I believe the size allowed is 4"x5". Check it out online. My niece thought she was safe with her small one only it was one inch too wide and had to walk back to her vehicle to lock it in her trunk. Geaux Saints is right!!! |

I checked out our local listings and they're replaying it on Tuesday 6-8 Central time. I'll probably rewatch it since Tuesday nights are usually dull on t.v.
