The unions should have thought about that before encouraging their members to vote for the morons that enacted those laws to start with.

Haven't shot the others, but did take dimensions on all. The shooter (pictured) now has 3450 rounds through it without any jams or other malfunctions, and has better than average accuracy for an out of the box firearm.

CWI is there a significance to the stainless version that you bought over the others or personal preference? I have came close to picking up a 1911 of various manufactures.

Bluing is a passivation of iron by chemically inducing Fe3O4 magnetite aka black oxide. It mildly increases corrosion resistance of carbon steels. Chromoly 4130 is somewhat more resistant, but will corrode as well. The typical 400 series stainless steels usually have high levels of chromium, nickel, and some molybdenum. It is the passivation layer of Chromium oxide that makes it 'stainless'. Unlike it's carbon steel brethern, the passivation layer can restore itself. Stainless is much better at avoiding corrosion but in salt, low oxygen environments, it will corrode as well for normal grades. The addition of the molybdenum usually stops that concern as well.

You da man. I'm slightly disgusted you knew that off the top of your dome!

Both of my local gun shops that I have bought several toys from said they would not sell me one of those. Said they were literally falling apart as people handled them. Just fyi.

It has received such rave reviews, I have yet to see one, they are sold out everywhere I have gone so I haven't been able to form a personal opinion of them. I was going by what I have read, seemed like just what I was looking for. I am disappoint!

If they're falling apart just from being lightly handled I'd love to take one apart to try to figure out why. Maybe a defective part?
