It's the perfect night. 44* with just enough breeze to make the wind chimes sing a bit. Nice half moon out there putting out quite a bit of light in the dark woods. Stars are shining, passengers in airliners flying overhead on their way to someplace. Unaware how envious they would be if they were here on the ground in God's country. These nights are special. A real crispness in the air, just enough of a bite, makes me want to build a fire, sit out there sipping on some really good sipping stuff. I know there is trouble in the world and here in the greatest country. I think about how far we've drifted from our values and Liberty. But deep down, sitting here I know there is still goodness left in our people. I know we can, hopefully, restore America. So I'll look up into the dark cold Oklahoma Sky, thank God for all my blessings, say a prayer for all of you. That you're safe, warm, healthy, well fed, and enjoying the bounties of our country. I'll pray that whatever troubles or challenges you face, that the right outcome will present itself to you. We are all blessed. Sometimes just coming here and sharing with all of you (and evidently I do share a lot) the joys of this place I call Camp David, renews my spirit to go after it the next day, God bless our troops for keeping me safe in this place I love.

It's a beautiful day in the suburbs of Camp David. SE OK is awash in fall foliage and the drive in the Ouachita Mountains is spectacular.

What a glorious Oklahoma afternoon in December. Must be 65*, sun is shining, light wind moving the windchimes and the birds are stocking up at the feeders. See squirrel or two once in awhile, running between crooked trees. Lots of acorns this year. I count about 23 small dead, dying or crooked trees that need to be cut. One day. But not today. Today I'm sitting out in a comfortable chair thankful for the bounty and the blessings of freedom, friendship, family and my country. I ain't wealthy but I must be the richest guy on this forum. I pray you feel the same way most days. It's pretty special.

It's COLD! Lows in the low 20s and highs low 40s/upper 30s for next 15 days or so but its January in Oklahoma. Cut my water off every night so it won't freeze, (water hose from faucet to trailer with heat tape and insulation, but still...). Talked to Missasip about some fixes for that. Just need to go underground with it. (Working full time, leave in the dark come home just before dark, cuts into my 'I just wanna do stuff here time). But I'm warm (love propane heat) and comfortable. All I need and more than happy. Life is good at CD.
