Amen, TW. Amen. All it takes is connecting and look what you get... a whole family of good folks, right here.
In a way, I think of it like planting a garden. Make a post and look what grows from it. You can come back over and over to see how big it's gotten, who has replied, what comes out of it. Like a garden, another reason to get up in the morning to see what's new.

Well it's a chilly 53* tonight at Camp David. There is just a sliver of moon hanging fairly low in the western sky right now. Looks like you could lay on it and get a quick nap in. Stars are bright tonight. Finally no rain clouds (until tomorrow). Rain forecast for next four days. I'd send it to California but they don't want anything from the right. ?. Put most of the rest of my garden in today. Almost too muddy but I managed (I hope). Also built the frame for the workbench inside the well house. Didn't injure myself once. Lol. I hope all of you are someplace where you can step out, see the night sky, and revel in the fact that we are living in the greatest nation ever founded. America, the Beautiful.

Went out and saw that sliver of moon, the bright star above and to the right of it, and Orion off to the left. Beautiful. Thanks for the heads up, brother.

No sliver tonight. That's a great moon! Step out and be amazed. And thankful.

Gorgeous full moon in a cloudless sky here tonight. I walked out there and stood on the driveway for a few minutes, soaking it in. Somewhere in the neighborhood a dog was barking slowly, and a cricket started up chirping in the big creosote bush next to the entrance of the driveway. It was so bright out there that I could see little details, like the puddle of (something) that leaked out of my van yesterday. Broken hose, the mechanic said. I get the van back tomorrow morning. Life is good. It's a peaceful night. Now I'm tired, so good night everyone.

I saw this very thing one night last week walking around the base at Petaluma in the northern sky. It was super cool.

Yeah lots of rain coming tomorrow they say.
Edit: 80% chance. Starting at 4AM. Winds forecast in low mid 20 mph range. And that's enough. Glad I cut down that tree near the well house. I've had several decent size trees blown over in the woods.
