I just completed one yesterday, thought it would be fun. I was shocked just how much would NOT fit in the can. Still a nice little kit to have, off the top of my head I have: -First aid supplies -Fishing supplies (line, hooks, sinkers, eyelet screws) -Knife blade -Para Cord -Compass -Light -Matches -Razor Blade -Sewing needles -Dental Floss -Lighter -Hemp Cord -Electrical tape -Rubber Bands Probably a couple other small things I forgot

This is how I used to carry mine. Then I changed it so I could put a few more items in it.

Sounds great! Do you have a way to post a photo or more of what you've put together?

I know you have no need for any sort of make-up, you beauty shines bright all the way through the internet straight to Arkansas! Our postings just crossed a little. And just so you know I always have a 'make up' case with me, albeit camo colors! Just to accent the grey in my beard mind you!

Hey PJ, you stated you were shocked at how much wouldn't fit in the tin. I'm actually shocked you got that much in yours.

I've not made one from an Altoids tin; BUT, I did make one from a "baby soda bottle!" A "baby soda bottle" is an injection molded tube that is subsequently heated and blow-molded to become a 2.0 liter soda bottle. This "baby" blank has, and maintains the fully threaded, capped top. Also, its tube walls are pretty thick -- it's very tough. On the outside, I wrapped paracord, jute twine, duct tape, and rubber bands... Cargo Pocket Kit 01 by tjwilhelm148149, on Flickr The first thing, stacked on top, under the cap, is a nice little button compass... Cargo Pocket Kit 02 by tjwilhelm148149, on Flickr Beneath the compass is a sewing machine bobbin wrapped with 10# Spider Wire, a small "Firesteel," a few vaseline cotton balls, a small folding hack saw, a small folding razor knife, two small fish hooks, and two small fly hooks... Cargo Pocket Kit 03 by tjwilhelm148149, on Flickr Also, tied to the outside with the paracord is a three-function, INOVA LED light. It kinda turns the whole tube into a hand-held flashlight... Cargo Pocket Kit 04 by tjwilhelm148149, on Flickr I like seeing y'all's kits, too! Keep 'em coming, folks. It's fun to get access to others' creative project ideas!
