Same here, goal is getting off these pounds by cutting back on portions and the sweets go to the birds. Not much on them, never was. Until recently I was fine and maintained a comfortable weight, then over six months I just gained and kept gaining. It's horrible and has affected my blood sugar level but I'm really working on getting it off. Kinda hard for my locale but making progress. My weight was never an issue all through my 40's and early 50's. Then the world started changing back when I hit about 54-55 and my metabolism s l o w e d. Quitting smoking seriously compounded the weight gain. Kept climbing gradually and hit 250 a few months ago. Down to 230 in the first 90 days of eating less and still heading South one pound at a time. I'm not rushing it, because I want it to become "normal" instead of a temporary diet. I repeat: Bacon!

It's all your fault. Went buy a few groceries today and I came home with a pack of thick bacon. Now, what to do with it since everything tastes better with bacon.

Sparrows on a stick wrapped in bacon = SHTF cowboy grillers!

I'll bet TW's bird feeders with added bacon bits would be a real treat for them besides the norm.

Set four posts for one of my gates today. Right now I'm waiting on Rocky, owebamas cousin to show up. Already dispatched one the other night (plus a possum). Little sucker was on the tree two nights ago enjoying the fruits of my labor. Pushed the feeder farther out. Now he's an Olympic sprinter. Once the latch lets go of the door he's gone. Squirrel finally found the seeds on the ground. Here every morning but no attempt at the feeder yet.

The sunset tonight has just been glorious and pictures can't do it justice. The 'yotes are already howling. God is alive and well in Oklahoma this evening. I'm blessed!

Mines tilled but with last weeks rain and more on Wednesday I'm not planting for a week or so. I have not tried tilling a mine. Is it a good way to hide them?

Geez you can move them to Texas but sometimes you have to beat the California out of them. I fixed my grammatical error. Usually the phone does that but like a good union worker it doesn't work past 6 PM.

What a sky!!! Cloud front to the north, cloud front just a little south and they connect in the west creating a 'V' shape right over CD. The moon is in the clearing with just enough of a sliver on the bottom to illuminate it. It's incredible. I'm sure I ramble on about this place but sometimes I step out for a sunset or in the dark to see the sky lit up and God never fails to impress me with His wonderment. I'm blessed I tell ya!
