I shoulda figured it was some ignorant limey term! I still think it's retarded but thanks for the background on it. Happy lymph health to ya mate...cheerio! Easy on the name calling there duck, we do have some English members on this board. And I would bet even they know some 'ignorant limey' somewhere in England. I know several ignorant people here in the US and it wouldn't necessarily be name calling.

"I want some of that 40!!! How much is it?! I wonder about shipping costs? Can I send you money an have you ship me a couple hundred rounds?![/Dink, you can order from Gander Mountain for same price I paid. Probably cheaper as the taxes are almost 6% in WI. I got it at the Madison Store on our way through there. Let me know if that works for you Thanks darlin!! I will check it out!

Madison store (WM) in WI? I've a dear friend who works there -- not in the ammo dept. but could probably be persuaded to put something aside.

Walmart here says no ammo holds and any employee giving out shipping info fired. Because of resellers keeping shooters from buying

Rats. I was afraid it had come to that. There's really nothing to be had around here, nothing to put aside, just a whole lot of nothing.

Just left a gun store in Marshall TX and they have boxes of .223, 200 rounds FMJ $230 ($1.15 per round) one box per person. They have IMI 30 round mags (2 per person) $36 each. 9mm, 50 round box $36 each (I didn't see a limit on these)

On Monday I was at Cabela's in Fairview, TX and seen 9mm Sellier & Bellot FMJ for $15.99 for 50. I did not see a limit on these and a friend went up after I called him and bought 6 boxes.

Only 22LR around here that I know of is at the local Dick's. It's the Remington brick at $22 per, and there are less than 10 bricks left.
The rare find I found there tonight was 5.56mm; yes, 5.56mm ammo via 20 rd boxes made by Independence for about $9 each. Not that big of a stock, but not small either. I snagged the amount of boxes I could afford and then I called up my buds (who own ARs as tools vs "investments") about it. I anticipate that if word gets around it'll be completely gone by the end of tonight regardless if my buds stopped by or not.

Those golden bullets suck. that brass coating on them gets all over the internals of your gun, they have more misfires than any other maker (for me at least) and the group as well as a herd of frogs
