If I owned a GP100, might look like this one: 4" nickel, shined like a diamond in a goats arse! A nice example of a six inch blued python. Wish it had original grips, make it purdier

"Shined like a diamond in a goats arse"...... Interesting euphemism. Somewhere in time, there must have been one very upset goat.... just sayin
Edit; it's more of a colloquialism than a euphemism.

That's a saying heard throughout military barracks worldwide but from drill sergeants mostly. In reference to boots, uniform brass, floors and commodes. The last one is the hardest. Tough making old ceramic shine like that diamond.

Tough making old ceramic shine like that diamond. Still ya gotta ask what the source of that was. I've heard it frequently starting at the tender age of 10 or so whenever I would get the tractor muddy. Best I could trace it back was 18th century Ireland, though they may have gotten it elsewhere. It still leaves the questions. Who first decided it would be a good idea to shine a diamond in a goats arse? What did the goat think of this grand plan?

I just knew it had its origins in some of our more daft ancestors. As to the plan, I'd say the goat thought it pretty $#|++y... I mean silly.

Well they were /are to tip pint or two....things start sounding better when that happens.

The only revolvers I still have are a 6" Colt in .22/.22 mag I bought back in 1971.
A 9 shot .22 Hi Standard I bought as a parts only gun but fixed and
A Taurus Model 905 in 9mm
Since I carry a 9mm Semi-auto 90% of the time I got the 9mm revolver for an ankle gun. 2" barrel is only good for about 7 yards or less. So it's more of a get off me gun then anything else.
Then from My Dads estate I got a 6" Colt and a Marlin 1894 Lever Action Rifle 1894C in .357 both of them are pretty rough. He must not have ever cleaned them. I shot the rifle a couple of times and the pistol a few. I just don't like revolvers or the .357

Woody, if that 6" Colt is a python, it would be well worth it to send it in to Colt to refurbish it. They bring high dolla these days. fwiw

I wish it was a python but its a Trooper
He had several pythons over the years but either sold them or my 1/2 brothers stole them long before he died.

Well, a nice Trooper can even go for some big bucks. Just the fact that it was ur dad's to get it fixed up might be worth it Z- man. Colt can apparently bring them back from the dead and you should be able to get ur $$ out of it should you decide to sell it. Just a suggestion brother.

Time is short as colt is near bankrupt. Anyone wanting something like that done should decide soon.

That explains the guy on the news with all the goats. He was just misunderstood. What he was doing to the goats was, Diamond mining! I just knew it had its origins in some of our more daft ancestors. As to the plan, I'd say the goat thought it pretty $#|++y... I mean silly.
