They are closing all public services in my local area...I was also talking to my little Bro and OK city seems to be closing down as well... I am seeing more common sense at the local level the I expected so far... The common theme I am also seeing is no test kits... Local hospital is refusing to test unless in high risk group.. Telling folks to self quarantine. One was a local doctor - she self diagnose but they wont test... I strongly suspect that our infection rate is much higher then the CDC states from late of testing... Lets add the stupid in as well www.dailywire.com/news/feds-seize-fake-coronavirus-test-kits-at-los-angeles-airport?utm_source=whatfinger

This was in today's email:
Suspension of all public Masses due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Our national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, relying on data that shows the real progression of the COVID-19 virus, has now updated its recommendation to limit gatherings to ten people. The recommendation limits the potential for transmission of the virus. Ultimately, the recommendation is rooted in serving the common good, including those most vulnerable to the virus and its devastating effects on the body.
Mindful of our own call as Catholics to seek the common good, we have directed that all daily Masses and all Sunday Masses prayed in parishes are suspended until further notice. This suspension takes effect on March 18, 2020 and includes all gatherings for social and educational purposes in Catholic facilities. It will remain in effect until further notice. This extraordinary measure has been directed after prayerfully asking God for His assistance in guiding His Church, in collaboration with the diocesan priest consultors and careful study of information gathered by government officials and recommendations given by medical professionals. We believe it is the prudent decision in keeping with the directives of many bishops throughout the United States who have made this prudential decision.
This decision is one of the most exceptional pastoral decisions we have faced and its impact on the Catholic faithful of South Dakota weighs heavily on our hearts. We will continue to monitor the situation with the intention of restoring the full access to the Sacraments and public prayer within our communities as soon as it becomes appropriate to do so. Projecting a timeline has been difficult to do accurately in the wake of this pandemic. So, we ask for your patience and flexibility when further adjustments become necessary.
While no decision has been made on Holy Week liturgies at this time, we acknowledge that current recommendations for limiting the size of gatherings extend beyond April 5-12, 2020. Therefore, it is probable the suspension announced today will also impact these liturgies prayed during the most solemn moments in our liturgical calendar. Mechanisms for live streaming these liturgies are already in place.
Until then, some practical ramifications of the suspension of public Masses and public events will be shared with the priests and people of our two dioceses in a separate memorandum. It is included as a link to this message.
Most especially during these trying times, let us continue to remember that the Sabbath is God’s command, not His Church’s. We can unite ourselves to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ through our participation in televised Masses which are readily available. In addition we are urged to make “Spiritual Communions” while joining in radio, television, or online broadcasts of the Sunday Mass. Again, more information about these opportunities as well as additional resources for sustaining our spiritual lives during this extraordinary fast from the regular reception of the Sacraments have been made available through the links at the bottom of this email.
We continue to urge all Catholics to offer additional prayer during this pandemic. We would ask all Catholics to pray for the intercession of Mary, Mother of the Church and St. Joseph, Protector of the Church. Let us continue to pray for the sick and dying, for those caring for them and for those working to minimize the impact of COVID-19. Let us pray for our own protection and care, for those who fear illness or death without knowing the Lord’s loving care.
Most Reverend Donald E. DeGrood Bishop of Sioux Falls
Very Reverend Michel J. Mulloy Diocesan Administrator Diocese of Rapid City
Things have taken a definite downturn.

Surprise, it turns out China lied to us on something very important.
The latest 11 AM briefing from Dr. Birx states that Italy and France have contacted the United States to let us know that large numbers of millennial's are contracting, and are seriously ill in their ICUs with the Chinese virus. Please notify your millennial kids or relatives. Mine are taking it very seriously.

Can't help but wonder if we are getting the real picture from our own government.

At this point, I'm not sure it matters who lied to who. I'm also positive we are not getting the full story from our own government. Things I am sure of. 1. The initial version of it was engineered. 2. The US government isn't telling us the full story. 3. No government has an adequate response. 4. A whole lot of people are going to die. 5. The secondary non-viral effects are just as destructive as the virus. There has been multiple contradictions on the part of the CDC and WHO. There has also been contradictions on the part of the Presidents team, and on the part of house and Senate committee's. Those contradictions imply either deliberate malfeasance, or they don't have a clue themselves. Neither option is particularly palatable. So what do we do? In light of the high levels of obsufucation, assuming the worst case scenarios is the only safe option.

Unless something changes radically, this is starting to smell really bad. There are major companies facing terrible losses of revenue due to the bad press - and nothing more. Imagine a 50% decline in revenue overnight. The mainstream media and other liberal bastions like colleges are playing it up. The internet megaphone is amplifying it further. This is an election year. THEY have Bernie and Joe..... Neither is electable. Our economy has been roaring until now. That fact cannot be beaten at the polls. How fortuitous to have it come crashing down now, just in time to have a national emergency. Watch for a new option on the Left to come riding in on a white horse, appearing to be middle of the road. Spend a few minutes to look at what Russia is doing with its oil and how it is rocking the world. There is only one reason for it. All of this is an obvious setup, but the dominoes are starting to fall. In all of the years that I have been here (and the old site), I have never raised the alarm. There is no virus emergency, but watch what happens next and be forwarned. We are approaching the tipping point on this issue because of the mainstream media. Get more ready if you are not. It is time I believe the virus is a very real threat. If this were just happening in the US then I would think it was all about the election year. The fact that it is worldwide tells me it's a much bigger threat. Like a New World Order UN type threat.

They don't have any good answers for the things they don't know about CO19. The things they do know would scare the crap out of the public and not do anything to help with the situation. They are keeping that info to themselves and hoping they can find a way out.

It's exactly a week today since I've stepped foot anywhere except in my own yard. I do have a grocery angel who I give a list to by placing it on the back of my truck. She in turn places the groceries in the same place. One of the items I was able to buy is ten lbs. of turkey necks. I've divided the 5lb. packs into smaller packs so I don't need to keep thawing the larger packs to use the necks. Crabbing bait at its finest! Tomorrow is the day I am finally taking off to go crabbing. If anyone dares to join me besides my brother I'll push them in the bayou. After self-quarantining for a week I don't need anyone messing with me! Also on my list were sardines. Though I've tried to eat them, I can't get past the bones. Soooo...they will make great bait for my traps. What I catch, who knows, no matter when you're hungry and meat displays at the stores stay bare. Of course I do have canned meats but will ration those. Just because I can crab, fish and trap, there will be days when the rains come down. Do I think we're near the point of taking those steps to survive, nobody knows. I do know this, I'm a survivor just like all of you here. Take care and God Bless!

Went into town today to get a couple things. Very few folks out on the main roads and what little shopping I did was in a creepy silence. Don’t know how to describe it, just a weird vibe. Am I the only one, or is there a drastic reduction in police presence lately as well? I’ve been seeing very few cops out lately where I normally see them posted up.

None that are publically announced yet. Alabama and Tennessee should be announcing soon though. Haven't heard from Georgia yet, but at a minimum, Atlanta should have already locked down. Why they haven't is anyone's guess.

Seems that a lot of people from the north east think it will be a good idea to come to Florida during all of this. The Governor put in place a mandatory 14 day quarantine if you fly in from one of the states that has been highly affected. That doesn't help for the idiots that drive here, but it helps.
